Light straw in colour with a welcoming nose of lime essence, cashew cream and toasted pastry. Palate is long with a mineral core and ripe citrus and stone fruits. A light brush of phenolics inspires extended ageing potential. This is a complex wine with drive and power.

"Brilliant straw-yellow with golden hues and some depth, lighter on the rim. The nose is full and softly voluminous with well-packed aromas of ripe citrus fruit harmoniously melded with creamy and nutty barrel-ferment layers along with nuances of lemon-curd MLF and toasty oak, unveiling subtle flinty lees detail. Medium-full bodied, the palate is rich and succulent with ripe citrus and stonefruit flavours entwined with tropical fruits and layers of cream, nutty oak. Nuances of buttery MLF, toasty oak and mealy, flinty lees add complexity. The mouthfeel is full, soft and lusciously rich, with a deep, accessible core, underlined by very fine-grained textures. The acidity is softly ripe, and lends poise; the wine carrying to a very long, elegant finish of stonefruits, nuts and cream. This is a softly full and layered Chardonnay with rich stonefruit and complexing creamy, nutty and toasty nuances. Match with roast pork over the next 4-5 years. Hand-picked fruit, WBP with 5% foot-crushed, and indigenous yeast barrel-fermented to 14.0% alc., the wine aged 11 months in 27% new French oak with 100% MLF. 900 cases made.
